About The University

Imperial College London

Imperial College London has deep ties with India. Our academics collaborate with over 300 Indian institutions, publishing 1,400 research papers since 2018. Key partners include Indian Institute of Science Bangalore, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Christian Medical College, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, and Indian Institutes of Technology. Imperial College London prioritizes partnerships, particularly in health, climate, and sustainability. For instance, with the George Institute for Global Health India, we set up a £10M NIHR Global Health Research Centre focusing on Non-Communicable Diseases and Environmental Change. Additionally, our collaboration with the Indian Institute of Science includes the ‘Imperial College London – Indian Institute of Science Partnership Fund’, fostering innovative projects such as AI for biodiversity monitoring and materials for quantum technologies.

In 2023, the College was honored to host India’s Science Minister and Principal Scientific Advisor to celebrate connections with India and discuss how the College can be at the forefront of strengthening the important UK-India knowledge partnership.

Dreaming of studying at Imperial but struggling with financing is a reality for many talented individuals. With international tuition fees soaring over £100,000, accessing top-tier education remains a challenge for too many aspiring students. Although Imperial College London boasts a highly international community, we recognize the need to enhance representation from diverse countries. We firmly believe that scholarships can be transformative for aspiring leaders and scientists. By offering financial support, especially to those from low and middle-income countries, we empower talented individuals to pursue their dreams and shape their own futures.
