Macquarie University, established in 1964 as an innovative experiment in higher education, was designed to break away from traditional models and collaborate closely with industry. We aim for the extraordinary by challenging conventional norms and embracing diverse perspectives. Guided by our dedicated academics and researchers, we maintain this pioneering spirit—evident in achievements like the invention of Wi-Fi in collaboration with CSIRO and our focus on enhancing graduate employability through personalized degrees and programs co-designed with industry.
In honor of the Aboriginal heritage of our location, our main campus in Macquarie Park is referred to as the Wallumattagal Campus. Macquarie University offers a diverse array of scholarships, with many focusing on social inclusion and equity. Additionally, some scholarships are designed to recognize exceptional achievements in areas such as academics and sports. Our scholarships and grants are available for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. They are designed to support individuals from various backgrounds, both domestic and international, so be sure to explore the eligibility criteria for each option.
